This is an original 1945 halftone print of American troops outside a Red Cross service station, a portrait of Dorothy Marsh, and Conad troops reading at a library during their off-duty. Miss Marsh came to Casablanca in 1942 where she served as a Red Cross Club Supervisor. She played an integral part in operations throughout France, Algeria, Italy and Morocco.

"Conad History" (Continental Advance) was created to preserve the history of the United States Army supply forces, and to provide a basis for future studies by the United States War Department. The book covered the continental advance, communications zones, the European theater of operations, and the United States Army during 1944 and 1945. The Conad staff began in Africa and traveled to central Europe where they finished.
