This is an original 1945 halftone print of an Allied military poster. CONAD put on a poster contest for the Allied military personnel to arouse the dangers of the black market to the civilian population. This was one of the images that won. The caption translates to, "Avoid this and win the war."

"Conad History" (Continental Advance) was created to preserve the history of the United States Army supply forces, and to provide a basis for future studies by the United States War Department. The book covered the continental advance, communications zones, the European theater of operations, and the United States Army during 1944 and 1945. The Conad staff began in Africa and traveled to central Europe where they finished.
