This is an original 1807 black and white copper engraving of a cross-section and ground plan of a Washing and Steaming House or apparatus in which, the well (fig. A), the conduit (fig. BB), the frame of the potato washer (fig. C), the crane circle (fig. D), the boiler seat (fig. F), the steam pipe that connects the lead pots (fig, G), the steam tubs (fig. H), the framing and platform where the lead pots stand (fig. K), and the stone troughs for potatoes (fig, L) are depicted.
