1817 Copper Engraving Grecian Palaestra Vitruvius Plan Ancient Greece XGR7
Please note that there is a blind emboss stamp on this map located in the top right corner; it does not affect the integrity of the engraving. These maps were obtained from the the State of Michigan as we acquired several collections from the historic archives/library. The stamp does not include any ink and does not break through the paper in any manner. To find other items related to this collection of rare maps, please see the link below.
This map was held in a portfolio and still has it's original center crease. We have packaged this flat, and open, in an archival package so the crease is minimized. The crease would be virtually invisible when matted and framed.
Please note that these maps were created on a handmade paper in 1817 and the borders may either be irregular or not square. The original copper plate impressions are visible on most even though they are not visible on the digital image. This map will be shipped in it's original untrimmed condition.
