This is an original 1820 copper engraving of Lake Sarnen in Switzerland. Printed under the image: Drawn by Major Cockburn. London, Published Sept. 1, 1819 by Rodwell & Martin, New Bond Street. Engraved by R. Wallis. The detail in this original copper engraving is nothing short of extraordinary. We have taken two digital images of the engraving. The first shows the image area that would be seen if framed. The second shows the margins of the engraving and any imperfections, blemishes, foxing, etc., as described in the "Condition" paragraph below. (The dimensions given are of the entire engraving, including the margins.) Please see both images.
