Tombeau

This is an original 1831 steel engraving of the tomb to the memory of those who fell on July 30, 1830 near the Fontaine des Innocens during the French Revolution of 1830, also known as the July Revolution.

Period Paper is pleased to offer a beautiful collection of original steel engravings of Paris, France and its surroundings. These historic drawings were made under the direction of Mr. A. Pugin and created in London in 1831. Please note that these are not current reproductions or copies. The actual border around each engraving is larger than what is shown in the digital image and each image has a caption in English. However, we wanted to show you the actual image up close and the dimensions provided next to the "Size" above indicate the size of the actual engraving only. The total size is approximately one half to one inch larger in width and height. The caption information, plus a paragraph or so of descriptive text (also in English), will be included with the item when shipped. This collection is in very good to excellent condition with only minor foxing and or aging on some of the outer borders. Framed, any of these would be a lovely gift item for the lover of "the City of Light."
