This is an original 1841 engraving of the architectural details of ancient Greek column capitals and entablatures including Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian orders, drawn by architect J. N. L. Durand. Referenced: Demosthenes, Thoricion, Vents, Athenes, Minerve Poliade, Apollon Agrigente, Propylees, Basilique, Poestum.
Period Paper is pleased to offer an historically important collection of original elephant folio engravings of architectural masterpieces, both modern and ancient. The drawings in this collection are the work of French architect, Jean-Nicolas Louis Durand (1760-1834). This is a rare collection, and all of the engravings are in very good condition considering their age. Please note that due to the large format of these engravings, they will be shipped rolled in a museum-quality shipping tube.
