This is an original 1860 black and white print ad for Udolpho Wolfe's Aromatic Schiedam Schnapps -- "a superlative tonic, diuretic, anti-dyspeptic and invigorating cordial." Udolpho Wolfe was a New York City merchant who sold wines and liquors for medicinal purposes as well as for alcoholic drinks.
