This is an original 1871 black and white in-text wood engraving of ancient musical instruments of Egypt including the "Darbuka" ("Earthen Darabukkeh"), a hand drum; the "Zummarah-bi-soan" (Zummárah), a small double-chantered bagpipe; and the "Arghul" (Arghool), a double pipe, single-reed woodwind instrument, very similar to a clarinet.
