This is an original 1871 black and white in-text wood engraving of "Kurks", an ornament made of diamonds, gold, emeralds, rubies, and pearls, which is worn in front of the '"Rabtah", which is generally placed on the head of a bride outside her shawl. These ornament were usually worn by females of higher and middle classes.
