1871 Woodcut Roman Gladiators Arena Pompeii Italy Amphitheater Wall Armor XGV9

This is an original 1871 black and white woodcut of Roman gladiators depicted from a wall on the Amphitheater in Pompeii, Italy. Judging from the image that shows what little the gladiators were equipped with, its no wonder most of them died in the arena.
