This is an original 1874 black and white in-text wood engraving of a sketch by Helen Allingham (1848-1926) that portrays the marriage ceremony of Prince Alfred (1844-1900), Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, to Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia (1853-1920), Duchess of Edinburgh, Duchess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, inside the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia on January 23, 1874 during the Victorian era.

This 139+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Moderate aging in margins. Light creasing. There is light bleedthrough on this piece from the verso. Some light surface rub. Please note: There is printing on the verso.
