The Jansens were a Puritanical sect of Dutch Roman-Catholicism whom in the beginning no one seemed to think too much about. The Catholics seemed to dismiss the movement as a form of Protestantism masquerading as Catholicism, and the Protestants had enough on their plates to bother too much about yet another group of Catholics. Although underrepresented, they were renowned through word of mouth for their incredible ability to perform the most incredible miracles, most of which occurred at the tomb of Francis of Paris, one of their devout leaders.
