This is an original 1876 black and white in-text wood engraving of the Porta Salaria, a gate in the Aurelian Walls of Rome until it was demolished by artillery fire in 1876, rebuilt and destroyed a second time in 1921 to make way for traffic. Today this area is the Piazza Fiume.
