This is an original 1877 halftone print of the St. Gotthard Railway Tunnel in Switzerland, including the entrances to the tunnel, the boring machine, the reservoir of compressed air, and the bridge over the Albinasca Torrent. (Please note that there is printing on the reverse.)
This 134+ year old Item is rated Very Fine. No creases. No natural defects. No tears. No water damage. There is some very light blemishing along the top margin --please see image.
