This is an original 1882 hand-colored lithograph by English entomologist William Forsell Kirby (1844-1912), of several species of moths from the Geometridae family, including; the Thamnonoma vincularia, (Fig. 1), the Collix sparsaria, (Fig. 2), the Selidosema plumaria, (Fig. 3), the Rest Harrow, Aplasta ononaria, (Fig. 4), the Sterrha sacraria, (Fig. 5), the Sparta paradoxaria, (Fig. 6), the Orthostixis cribraria, (Fig. 7), the Problepsis ocellata, (Fig. 8), the Terpnomicta trimaculata, (Fig. 9), the White form of Schistostege decussata, (Fig. 10), the Fidonia plumistaria, (Fig. 11), and the Eucrostes indigenata, (Fig. 12, a-b).

This 131+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Moderate aging in margins. Light creasing. Some light surface rub.
