This is an original 1886 monochrome photogravure of Cardinal Richelieu, a close personal advisor to King Louis XIII of France. With his help, the French crown established itself as an absolute monarchy, and successfully was able to overcome the Habsburgs during the Thirty Years' War.

This 125+ year old Item is rated Very Fine. Light aging throughout. No creases. No natural defects. Some light surface rub. No tears. No water damage. Please note the small, scattered marks in the lower portion of the item. Also, this piece has retained its original plate impressions, which may be difficult to see in the digital image.
