This is an original 1887 black and white wood engraving of a portrait of Philip Hermogenes Calderon (1833-1898), the English painter known for his Pre-Raphaelite style. Calderon was also a leading member of the St. John's Wood Clique, and a Keeper of the Royal Academy of London.
