Giovanni Bellini
Giovanni Bellini (?-1516) was a Venetian Italian Renaissance painter, as well as the son and brother of famous painters Jacopo and Gentile Bellini. Bellini received his formal art education at the Padua School. His works primarily focused on religious subjects. He was perhaps most recognized for his ornate altarpieces designed for the church of St. Francisco in Pesaro. BelliniÕs art has been held at DogeÕs Palace, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, The Albert Gallery in Prato, the National Gallery in London, the Louvre in Paris, the Museo del Prado in Madrid, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and many more.
