Shown in the illustration is the coin of Syracuse with the head of the nymph, Arethousa, and Herakles kneeling while strangling the Nemean lion; the coin of Pantikapaion with the head of Pan and a griffin; the coin of Klazomenai with the head of Apollo and a swan; the double stater of Alexander the Great with the hlemeted head of Pallas and Victory; the coin of Lampsakos featuring a beardless head and half of Pegasos; the coin of Pyrrhos with the head of Artemis and Victory; the coin of Seleukos Nikator with the head of Seleukos and the horns of Boukephalos; the coin of Philip of Macedon featuring the head of Apollo and horses; the coin of Ptolemy Soter with an eagle; the coin of Demetrios Poliorketes with a horseman and the coin of Euthydemos I, featuring the head of Euthydemos and Herakles. Please note that the gold ink used in this chromolithograph actually shimmers in certain angles.
