This is an original 1891 half-page print article about one of the biggest trees of California, called the "Dead Giant" in the Yosemite National Park. The Dead Giant is one of the California's native Sequoias located on the first stage road into Yosemite Valley, in the Toulumne Grove of the Yosemite National Park. The Dead Giant was tunneled in the 1870's to attract tourists from San Francisco.
