"Acre, Church of St. Francis, Interior."

This is an original 1893 etching (individually hand-painted) of the interior of the Church of St. Francis in Acre (or Akko), a city in the Western Galilee area of Israel.

Period Paper is pleased to offer an extraordinary and rare collection of original etchings of the Holy Land of Judea and Galilee. Created to document the history of the Franciscan missions in the Holy Land, these etchings provide an excellent historic visual record of the landscape, architecture, and people of Palestine and the Middle East. Each individually hand-painted etching (from a photograph) is mounted on a thick fiber board with a stunning decorative design lithographed in rich gold gilt. These museum-quality etchings are impossible to find anywhere.

Accompanying each original etching is a digital print (for reference) of the description of the image in English, Latin, French, Italian, and German. (Please see both images.)
