This is an original 1893 black and white halftone print of "Magellanic eagle owl." This late nineteenth century image depicts the Magellanic Horned Owl, also known as the Lesser Horned Owl (Bubo magellanicus), a large owl native to the areas of southern South America to the central Andes.
