1893 Print Kantharos Court Saint Cecilia Vase Ancient Rome Pilgrim Church XGP6

This is an original 1893 halftone print of the large Kantharos in the court by the church of Saint Caecilia. In was common practice to keep these large vases nearby to churches and filled with water, as they would provide a welcome refreshment to pilgrims who were exhausted after a long day of travel.
