1893 Print Street Child Boy Urchin William M. Chase - ORIGINAL CT2
This is an original 1893 print from a study in oil by William M. Chase, engraved by Frederick Juengling, which appeared in the St. Nicholas Magazine, May 1882. The print has a copyright date of 1882 by The Century Co., and the actual image measures approximately 5 x 7.5 inches.
Period Paper is pleased to offer a rare collection of selected proofs of the premium art that The Century Magazine and the St. Nicholas Magazine used during the mid-to-late 1880's and early 1890's in their journals. These large format proofs were printed as a collection in 1893 on a fine paper stock, uncommon for late 19th century printing. Wonderfully preserved for well over a century, these fine art proofs are exceptional, and excellent original images for framing. Please note that the actual print borders are much larger than than seen in the digital image (see the size dimensions above).
