1893 Print White Squadron War Ships Fort Wadsworth New York City American NY2

009747_NY2_272

This is an original 1893 halftone print of the ships of the White Squadron. This print shows views of the School Ship, "St. Mary's"; the "Chicago," the "Boston," the "Newark," and Fort Wadsworth taken in North River (Hudson River) and New York Harbor by Johnston.

Period Paper is pleased to offer a large collection of historical images of New York City. Dating from the late-19th century, these halftone prints capture a New York that sadly, in many cases, no longer exists.
