This is an original 1893 monochrome wood engraving entitled
Bianca Capello by A. H. Schram. It depicts Francesco I de'Medici and his consort Bianca Capello, who died on the same day under mysterious circumstances. Until recently it has been thought that they were poisoned with arsenic, however new evidence was uncovered among their remains in 2010, in the form of malaria-carrying parasite.
