Jean Antoine Watteau
Jean Antoine Watteau (1684-1721) was most recognized for his French Rococo style, as well as his aristocratic genre paintings, theater set design and war and military scenes. Watteau studied under Claude Gillot and Audran, as well as others. Later, he was commissioned to paint scenery for the Paris Opera.
