190105_XEPA7_003

This is an original 1896 monochrome photogravure of King Henri III of France. He was never intended to be king of anything, however after his two older brothers passed without leaving any male heirs, he was sort of the only option. Additionally, he was put in charge of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
