This is an original 1896 black and white halftone print of a Prussian messenger giving a message to members of the British Royal Navy. Though Prussia's military was in tatters after the War of the Fourth Coalition, they still kept contact and plans with the other nations, especially the United Kingdoms, determined to combat Napoleon's First French Empire, which dominated Europe.
