This is an original 1896 black and white wood engraving which depicts a family of Corsican shepherds on the move to greener pastures, or in this case, better scrubland on which their goats and sheep can feed. The only family member who appears happy with this decision is the cat, looking bemused as he peers out of his comfortable corner of the wagon.
