This is an original 1897 black and white halftone print of "The Lake of Genesareth. Drawn by Boudier, from a phtograph brought back by Lortet." Lake Genesareth, more commonly known as the Sea of Galilee (also known as Kinneret or Lake Tiberias) is the largest freshwater lake in Israel and the lowest freshwater lake on Earth. It is fed by underground springs and the Jordan River, and is a significant historical site.
