This is an original 1897 black and white halftone print of "The Tyrian Ladder at Ras El-Abiad," an area along the Mediterranean Sea, presently known as "Rosh HaNikra," in present day Western Galilee, Israel. The area is noted for its geologic formation of white chalk cliffs that open into spectacular grottos along the Sea.
