This is an original 1900 black and white halftone print of a portrait of American singer, Emma Cecilia Thursby. During her career, she appeared with Mark Twain in a series of performances at the Redpath Lyceum. She was also a professor of music at the Institute of Musical Art (now Juilliard School) in New York.
