This is an original 1900 halftone print of The Passing Train by Marianne Stokes. This is an interesting picture of a young women standing in a field watching a train go by. It's interesting because you cannot see the train because of all the smoke that surrounds it. This could be a statement from Stokes to show trains in a negative light, revealing the heavy smoke from a train in a beautiful field of wildlife, and how it affects nature.

This 111+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++. Light aging throughout. No creases. No natural defects. Some light surface rub. No tears. No water damage. Please note there is printing on the reverse. There is some light bleed through visible in the margins of this print.
