This is an original 1901 halftone print of Kicking Horse Pass located in Canada's Yoho National Park. The pass received its name when James Hector, a geologist and naturalist of the Palliser Expedition, was kicked by his horse while exploring the region. The area was also a central location in the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway.
