This is an original 1902 black and white halftone print of Trophee des Alpes in La Turbie of the French Riviera. This pillar, alternately the "Trophy of Augustus," is part of the ruins that were built in honor of Emperor Augustus's conquest of the Ligurian Coast for the Roman Empire.
