This is an original 1902 halftone print of the Washington Monument in midwinter, a photograph taken by Henry Hoyt Moore. Taken from the southern boundary of the Executive Grounds, on a rainy day in late December. The Washington Monument is a tall four-sided narrow tapering monument with a pyramid-like shape end at the top, located near the west en of the National Mail in Washington, D. C.
