This is an original 1903 black and white halftone print of the room of the Longwood House in which Napoleon Bonaparte died during his exile on Saint Helena Island by Lieutenant Stack. It was here that the French Emperor drew his last breath and reportedly uttered "France, armée, tête d'armée, Joséphine.(France, army, head of the army, Josephine.)"
