This is an original 1904 black and white relief line-block map of General Areizaga's Operations during the Peninsular War between Spain, Portugal, Britain, and France. While open combat with the French, like this campaign, usually resulted in Spanish disappointment, the guerilla war carried out by citizen soldiers and militia would eventually bleed Napoleon's forces white and result in his eventual defeat.
