This is an original 1905 black and white print ad for Huyler's Chocolate, "candies of rare quality." John S. Huyler's first store opened in 1876 in New York City on 18th Street. Milton Hershey worked at Huyler & Company starting in 1883 and later started his own chocolate business.

Huyler's Cocoa & Chocolate.

David Huyler first set up his bakery in Greenwich Village. In 1874, his son, John Huyler, opened his own shop on 863 Broadway in Manhattan. The store sold ice cream, candy and other chocolate sweets. Due to its success, Huyler opened more stores in Albany and Brooklyn a few years later.

In 1929, HuylerÕs shops were owned by David A. Schulte of Schulte Stores.
