This is an original 1905 photogravure of "The Vow of Louis XIII" painted by Jean Dominique Ingres in 1822-1823. After an original painting in the Cathedral of Montauban, from a photograph by Braun, ClŽment & Co. The image is mounted on a brown textured paper stock, or board, which measures 10.5 x 14.5 inches.

Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres (1780-1867) was a French neoclassical painter, known for his portraits, both drawn and painted.

This 106+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine+. No aging. No natural defects. No surface rub. No tears. No water damage. There is a small wrinkle in the top left corner of the mounting board which does not affect the image.
