English painter William Hunt was a founder of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, and an avid user of symbolism in his work. Unfortunately his eyesight began to fail him in later years, which lead to a sharp decline in finished pieces as he refused to compromise on the quality of his artwork.
