1905 Print Father Georgy Gapon Portrait Russian Working Class Leader Priest EM2

This is an original 1905 halftone print of Father Georgy Gapon, a Russian Orthodox priest and Working Class leader, as well as the Chief of Police Foulon.

Gapon graduated from the Saint Petersburg Theological Academy in Russia in 1902, and also taught religion in the St. Olga Children's Orphanage in 1900. Gapon was well known for his role in efforts toward fair working conditions for factory workers, as well as impoverished families stricken by unemployment conditions.
