This is an original 1906 5 page article titled, "Our Vanishing Shore-Birds," by Herbert K. Job. The article features images of turnstones and sandpipers, as well as plovers, nests, and other birds. The article writes, "If there is any one class of birds which has most notably decreased in abundance during the last twenty-five years, I am confident that it is the shore-birds. In my boyhood, though they were rapidly decreasing, most of the more familiar species were still quite abundant, or at least fairly common, along our northeastern coast; today they are largely unknown or are represented by only a few pitiful stragglers." Please see additional images and note that the 5 pages are printed on 3 pages-- front and back.
