This is an original 1906 color print of the village of Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. Dunfermline Abbey is located in the distance and is a Church of Scotland Parish Church. The abbey was founded in 1128.

The original artwork in this print was created by Myles Birket Foster (1825-1899). Foster was an English watercolor artist and illustrator. He was born in North Shields, England, to a Quaker family. Foster was apprenticed to a wood engraver named Ebenezer Landells in London and worked as an illustrator for books and periodicals. He is also known for his landscapes which he painted as he traveled throughout Europe.
