The original artwork in this print was created by Myles Birket Foster (1825-1899). Foster was an English watercolor artist and illustrator. He was born in North Shields, England, to a Quaker family. Foster was apprenticed to a wood engraver named Ebenezer Landells in London and worked as an illustrator for books and periodicals. He is also known for his landscapes which he painted as he traveled throughout Europe.

This 105+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Light aging throughout. No creases. Minor print defect - top right corner. No surface rub. No tears. Light moisture wrinkling. Please note that there are a few small dark spots or smudges in the margins of this piece.
