"Maurycy Mochnacki"
This is an original 1906 black and white halftone print of a portrait of Polish literary, theater, and music critic and political activist Maurycy Mochnacki (1803-1834). He participated in the November Uprising of 1830-31 against the Russian Empire and was awared the War Order of Virtuti Militari for his military actions during the Uprising. He later emigrated to France where he died in 1834.
