This is an original 1906 halftone print of a piece by Dutch painter Gerrit Metsu (1629-1667). Although he was a member of the painters' guild in Leiden for many years, he eventually fell out of favor and moved to Amsterdam, where he lived in an alley on Prinsengracht during his 30s. Many of his works include woman performing domestic duties, and this one, simply entitled "Breakfast," is no exception to that.
