This is an original 1906 black and white halftone print of Myles Birket Foster, Senior, who we believe is the father of Myles Birket Foster (1825-1899), the English watercolor artist. He was born in North Shields, England, to a Quaker family. Foster was apprenticed to a wood engraver named Ebenezer Landells and worked as an illustrator for books and periodicals. He is also known for his landscapes which he painted as he traveled throughout Europe.
